Reviews and Ratings
Our family had a decent time at the Barceló in Huatulco. The rooms were nice and clean, and we enjoyed the beach and water activities. However, we were disappointed with the dining options and quality, especially since some restaurants were closed during our stay. The pool area was a highlight, along with the awesome staff leads like Marissio who really made our time at the pool fun. Overall, it's a great hotel, but dining improvements are definitely needed.
The Barcelo hotel is set in a beautiful, quiet bay with lovely beach access, offering a variety of activities like paddle boarding and tennis. The rooms were well-appointed, but the dining experience was mixed, with great breakfast options but disappointing a la carte dining. While the amenities are sufficient, the pool seating situation can be frustrating. Overall, the hotel has its charm but could benefit from some improvements.
We had a fantastic week at Barcelo, with a beautiful beach and a well-maintained pool that offered a fun atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond, making our stay memorable. However, the dining experience could use improvement, especially in the kids' menu and dining hours. Overall, it was a great vacation thanks to the attentive service, although the food, particularly for kids, was subpar.
I had a mix of experiences during my stay. The hotel is well-kept with clean, modern rooms and fantastic amenities, but the dining options were disappointing, particularly the quality and variety of food. I also found the reservation system for restaurants quite stressful, and while the location was excellent with easy access to the beach, it can feel busy at peak times due to chair reservations.
